The first thing you need to know is that this is not MY story.

It was not the story of the person who told it to me. Who's story it is doesn't matter. This is a story that needs a happy ending to be added to it. This story needs to come true. This story should be a living, breathing part of our world. Because the world needs a story like this.

The world needs people like this.

I'm just a writer. Hopefully, no one will remember my part in this story. Hopefully, they will embrace the spirit of it. Hopefully, someone will give it life. Hopefully many people will give it life. And give that gift to many other people. That's what a gift is, something you share with others. Not to get something back. Not for credit. Not for money. But because you care. Because you believe the world should be better. This story is one of the ways we make it better.
The world isn't made a better place by ideas. But that's how it starts. With an idea. With the realization that this is not how things are supposed to be. This is not what God intended. Whatever your religious beliefs you have to know things can be better.
You also have to believe that they will be better.

You HAVE to believe things can change for the better. That miracles happen.

This story might be one of the stories that changes the world for the better. This might be the story that sparked the change to happen. This is how the darkness was defeated. This could be one of the ways light was brought back to the world. It could happen. Nobody knows the future except what happens if we do nothing.

Nothing happens if you do nothing. All evil needs to succeed is for good people to do nothing.

The subtle hint in the back of your head telling you "Listen to this." The tears of joy starting to pool in your eyes. The butterflies in your stomach. The joy you feel in your chest. Telling you,

there is still good in the world!

Now that you know you do still care about others. Now that you know "It can happen." Now that you know it's not my story, but a story of all of us. Now I will tell you the story. This is the best soup story waiting to be told. This is the story of Soup Leasing.

This is how it was told to me.

During the pandemic a lot of people were wondering about the future. Their lives, their lively hood, would things ever be the same. I was laid off from work. We all were. I was trying to think of ways to supplement my income. So, I thought about selling soup. I make some pretty good ones.
I wasn't trying to compete with Cambell's or anything, just get bye. But I didn't have an external kitchen. So, I couldn't pass a health inspection. Yes, I know the health code regulations. I worked in a restaurant for a few months. No, I'm not a chef, but the soup is an original recipe. It also happens to be some of the best soups you will ever eat.
Then I had another idea. Soup Leasing. Never heard of it. Me either.
So basically, the idea is simple. People buy a jar from you. No health code violations there. Then for a weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly fee, they get a bag of soup to fill the jar. For free.

You don't buy the soup; you buy membership into Soup Leasing.

Brilliant. I thought. I found a loophole in the system. basically, it is. Basically.
From a marketing, and business perspective, this is a brilliant idea. It is an idea that could possibly make millions of dollars. This is an idea that could make people turn on you. Or this could be an idea that could change lives. Many, many lives. The kind of lives that don't have anyone else to help them. If it got to the right people. Which quickly became the problem. The right people.
In this situation the right people are the ones who don't want to make money for themselves. Even though the idea, Soup Leasing, will make a small fortune, it has to be one for people who don't have anything.

Who are the people, who help people out of the kindness of their heart?

The people who want the world to be a better place, for everyone, not just the one percent.
The world is full of wolves in sheep's clothing. They seem like good people up front. But wait a little while and it comes out. The darkness in their heart.
So, I prayed about it. Tell me how I get an idea like this to the right people God. He finally answered. By giving it to all people.
Let the people decide and keep tabs on each other. If everyone knows about the idea, then none can claim it as theirs. The story can still be used by the right people. Because people will know what it's for. Instead of a monthly fee. A donation. Give what you think it's worth to you.
What a better world it would be.
Not just feeding the homeless but training them. Scholarships to people who earn it. The ideas are endless.

It just needs a home.

A place to start.
I'll even include the first recipe. I'll include 3 recipes.

Maybe the dream of a blessing in every bite will come true. I pray it does.
However, there are a couple of stipulations for using the idea.
1. You cannot gain for yourself from it. Not one cent goes to you. After the costs are taken out, the rest goes to others who are in need.
2.You cannot claim ownership of it. This way the world will make sure it's used for the right reasons.
3.You cannot deny anyone who wants to eat. We live in a country of plenty. No one should be hungry.
4. You have to pass it on. This is an idea that needs to be shared around the world. I'm a Christian but I have no problem with Muslims, Hindu, or any other religious people using it for good. I don't think people will lease a jar of soup from terrorists. I hope I'm right.
So, instead of trying to find the right people. I'm putting my faith in all people. To find a home for this story. To make this story come true. To make this dream come true. To make the world a better place. One jar of soup at a time.

Ham and Potato

THIS IS COMFORT IN A BOWL. I'm not kidding.

4 pieces of bacon
3 carrots

Deglaze with the wine. Make sure nothing is sticking to the bottom. It's called fond and is concentrated flavor.  Pour in the water and add the remaining ingredients.  Cook on high 15 to 20 minutes. Remove the chicken. Let it reduce by 1/3.  Remove the vegetables.

1 tbs parsley
1/2 tbs tarragon

Bring to boil. Add the pasta. From the pasta recipe. The pasta will be done in a couple of minutes. DONT WALK AWAY. Turn off heat and eat. Easy peasy.

Curry Noodle

This is a really easy variation from the standard chicken noodle.  You can also make it with pork. Just check Chicken noodle recipe for the stock. You can adjust the heat with cayenne according to your liking. It's also FANTASTIC with honey-soaked jalapenos for a garnish.

1 tbs curry powder
1 can coconut milk
1 stick butter
1\2 tbs basil
1/2 tbs cilantro
1 bell pepper
1 onion

2 cups chicken stock

Ok ready for easy delicious that'll impress. Here it is

Start by finely chopping the onion. Heat the butter in the pot. When it starts to brown add the onion, basil, cilantro, curry powder. Cook on medium till onion is translucent. About 10 minutes. Add the stock. Add the coconut milk. Bring to a boil.  Add the pasta and chicken meat. Turn off heat. Its ready. The pasta recipe is fettuccini. Just cut it thinner. If you have a pasta maker, use the angel hair cutter. The starch from the pasta is enough to thicken it.

So please. Put this idea into the right people's hands. Make the world a better place. Make this a true story. Make this a story we are all part of.

Not one person gets credit for making the world a better place. It takes all of us.

Strive to be happy. in a life that matters.
